Citroën

La Citroën nasce nel 1919 grazie ad André Citroën che si era specializzato nella produzione di ingranaggi con dentatura a cuspide (da cui il simbolo della casa automobilistica).

In seguito alla morte di André Citroën, nel 1935, la casa subì una serie di alti e bassi a causa di eventi contingenti e scelte strategiche azzardate fino ad essere acquisita dal gruppo PSA Peugeot Citroën.

La casa francese è ricordata per due modelli rivoluzionari per gli anni in cui sono stati costruiti ed ancora oggi molto moderni, ovvero la 2 cavalli e la DS, auto dotata di sospensioni idropneumatiche.

I veicoli in vendita nel mercato italiano sono la piccola C1, la C2, la C3, la C4, la monovolume Xsara Picasso, le più spaziose C5 e C6, il C-Crosser, la C8 e la Berlingo.

The sole emperor of current world-class rallying Sebastien Loeb of France tested his Citroen C4 today in Central Finland for the upcoming WRC Rally Finland 2010 which starts on Thursday night in Jyväskylä. Unlike his team-mate Seb 2.0 the original Seb 1.0 tested for only one day in Finland because the car is as good as it can be and only small improvements can be made at this point.

Citroën Survolt Sports Car Concept to Make Racing Debut at Le Mans Classic HQ Song: Eminem - Music Box Instrumental Enjoy & Comment! Citroën is taking its funky little all-electric sports car concept, the Survolt, out for racing. Unveiled to the public for the first time at this year's Geneva Salon in March, the Survolt will make its track debut at the Le Mans Classic on July 10 piloted by racing driver Vanina Ickx, daughter of Belgian Formula One pilot, Jacky Ickx. Along with the announcement on its first track appearance, the French carmaker also revealed technical details about the Survolt. Measuring just 3.85m long, 1.87m wide and 1.2m high, the supermini-sized Survolt features a tubular chassis, a flat underside with an extractor and full carbon bodywork. It tips the scales at just 1150 kg or 2535 pounds. The Survolt's full electric drivetrain comprises of two-electric motors producing a combined output of 300-horsepower, and a pair of lithium-ion batteries weighing in at 140kg or 308 lbs a piece. Each battery pack boasts a 31kw capacity offering a driving range of around 200km (124 miles). According to Citroën, the tiny coupe is capable of returning a top speed of 260km/h (162mph) and a 0-100km/h (0-62mph) sprint time of under five seconds.

The Citroën DS3 Ecomedy Tour will follow stand-ups, Dan Adams and Christian Ancliff, piloting a DS3 DStyle 99g and gigging all the way from London to their first ever Edinburgh Fringe show - a journey of over 500 miles - all on a single tank of fuel. The comedic duo will perform each night during the tour, playing in London, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Manchester and Glasgow before reaching Edinburgh in time for their Fringe debut.
